Are you a pet lover with exceptional customer service skills? Fur Family Cinema is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Receptionist to join our dynamic team! We offer a unique and fulfilling work environment where your passion for pets and people will shine.
Position: Full-Time Receptionist\ Hours: 1:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend coverage)\ Wage: Starting at \$11 per hour, with the potential to increase to \$12 per hour after training
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, both in-person and over the phone
- Handle sales of pet treats and products
- Make reservations for our busy pet boarding, dog daycare, dog spa, dog self-wash, and boutique services
- Assist with general administrative tasks and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for clients and their pets

Customer Service Excellence
- Ability to interact positively with pet owners, addressing their needs, concerns, and queries with empathy and professionalism.
- Handling complaints or issues calmly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Animal Handling and Knowledge
- Basic understanding of pet behavior and needs, particularly for dogs and cats.
- Comfort and confidence in handling various breeds and sizes of animals safely and gently.
Communication Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information to pet owners and colleagues.
- Proficient in managing phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions efficiently.
Organizational Skills
- Ability to manage reservations, scheduling, and administrative tasks accurately.
- Efficient multitasking to handle a busy reception area, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Sales and Product Knowledge
- Familiarity with pet products and ability to recommend and sell appropriate items to pet owners.
- Understanding of upselling techniques and maintaining product inventory effectively.
Qualifications:
- Must be a people and pet person with outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with sales and promoting our products and services
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to working with us for at least one year
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
