Adecco is assisting the Commonwealth of Kentucky with a Career Coach in Lexington, KY . Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator the Career Coach will assist public school students in Fayette County with transition to a job and or postsecondary pathway, which includes credentials, technical certifications, associate degrees, and other postsecondary degrees through the Everybody Counts initiative. The initiative will provide all eligible graduating seniors in participating counties with a job, post-secondary enrollment, or both.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Career Coach to join our team and provide exceptional career coaching services to high school students. The ideal candidate will help students discover fulfilling and successful careers by offering guidance on career exploration, education and training requirements, job market statistics, and essential skills. This role involves travel to high schools and special events within selected counties and requires a blend of independent and collaborative work.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular career counseling for high school students to help them discover fulfilling and successful careers.

  • Prepare and share information on career and education exploration, and job market statistics to facilitate students' postsecondary planning.

  • Facilitate partnerships with school districts, community leaders, and organizations to build resources and expand program opportunities for students.

  • Provide resources and access to workshops on, but not limited to, essential skills, resume writing, professional communication, and career and college readiness.

  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the Regional Coordinator and Everybody Counts staff.

  • Prepare and maintain tasks, events, communication and case notes updates for students in Salesforce CRM.

  • Travel to high schools and special events as required in selected counties.

  • Offer intensive coaching support to eliminate barriers that hinder employment and enrollment in post-secondary education.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Associate degree required.

  2. Previous experience working with youth ages 16-21.

  3. Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.

  4. Ability to work with diverse populations.

  5. Ability to work independently without direct supervision.

  6. Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  7. Valid Driver's License.

  8. Background check required.

  9. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.

  10. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (remote and in-person).

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, human services, or a related field.

  2. Certification in career coaching or counseling

  3. Experience in career counseling, guidance, or related fields.

  4. Knowledge of local job market trends and postsecondary educational opportunities.

  5. Experience in developing and delivering workshops on career exploration, resume writing, and job search skills.

  6. Familiarity with barriers to employment and strategies to overcome them.

  7. Proficiency in using career assessment tools and software.

  8. Proficiency with Pathful Explore and Pathful Connect platforms.

  9. Demonstrated success in building partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations.

  10. Experience in case management and maintaining detailed student records.

  11. Proven track record of helping students achieve their career and educational goals.

Pay Details: $55,000.00 per year
