Churchill McGee Concrete Project Manager in Lexington, Kentucky
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Concrete Project Manager to lead and oversee our concrete construction projects. As a Concrete Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of concrete projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent project management skills and a comprehensive understanding of concrete production.Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and budgeting.Ensure that all project activities comply with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies.Oversee the procurement of concrete materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.Recruit, hire, and supervise project team members, including site supervisors, foreman, and subcontractors.Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to the project team, ensuring effective communication and coordination.Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high performance.Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to assess progress and address any issues or concerns.Encourage professional development and training opportunities for team members.Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimation and monitoring of expenses.Track project costs, analyze budget variances, and implement corrective measures, as necessary.Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and payment requests.Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare accurate and competitive bids for new projects.Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that concrete construction meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify and address any construction defects or deviations from specifications.Implement appropriate corrective actions and preventive measures to maintain project quality and integrity.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and resolving issues.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.Conduct regular progress meetings and generate reports to keep stakeholders informed about project status, milestones, and any significant developments.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Project Manager in concrete construction projects.In-depth knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and processes.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and resource allocation.Sound understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and safety standards.Proficient in using project management software and tools.Exceptional communication and people skills.Ability to negotiate, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive working relationships.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.Other Requirements:Must be able to pass background check to drive company vehicle.Travel required.Valid driver license.Work primarily outdoors, occasionally indoors, in all types of weather conditions/environments.Demonstrate a full range of motion with neck, arms, shoulders, hands, torso, legs, and feet.Visual acuity: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Understanding of how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.Have small hand tools as required.Competitive Salary and Benefit Package for Proven LeadersJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Health, Dental and Vision InsurancePaid time offLife and DisabilitySimple IRA with employer matchPerformance BonusesCell phone allowanceVehicle allowanceMileage reimbursementSchedule:Monday - Friday in office8-hour shiftDay shiftEvenings and Weekends as neededWork Location: This role is an in-person office position and offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with an enthusiastic team, interact with clients and colleagues face-to-face, and contribute to our vibrant office culture.License/Certification:Driver's License (Required)Ability to Commute: LexingtonWillingness to travel:50% (Required)
