The purpose of this position is to execute a variety of human resource functions to provide effective human resource services for the Lexington, KY location of the O-Ring and Engineered Seals (OES) division. This position requires an individual to act as an employee champion, change agent, and business partner for the location while providing HR services efficiently and effectively. Proposes and initiates specialized projects and implements programs requiring a solid understanding of human resources processes and their strategic impact on the business. This position will support the location management team and production employees through successful delivery of human resource programs (e.g. talent development, succession planning, performance management, strategy deployment, workforce planning, etc.)

· Takes an active role on the site leadership team to address business issues and challenges.

· Works to understand all aspects of the business in order to contribute and advise effectively.

· Manages all staffing activities including talent acquisition and onboarding.

· Follows division, corporate, and legal requirements in all staffing activities.

· Oversees performance management and career development activities for the manufacturing workforce.

· Coaches and advises managers regarding employee relations matters for optimal outcomes.

· Acts as a primary resource for employee concerns and questions.

· Actively works to engage people to address their needs.

· Investigates issues as needed and recommends solutions to site leadership.

· Co-leads Engagement Team efforts at the site. Ensures team is effectively working with the community and that participation rates remain high.

· Administers all relevant company policies, ensuring employees have a full understanding and receive training regularly.

· Maintains employee data and HR systems with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Provide selective admin support for General Manager – travel arrangements, expense report processing, event planning.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting

  • 1-2 years HR generalist experience

  • Superior interpersonal skills and time management

  • Proficient in all MS Office applications. PeopleSoft experience a plus.
