Job Summary | The Research Mass Spectrometry Service Core is seeking a Research Analyst Principal to assist in sample testing, instrument operation, maintenance, and lab administration. This position is responsible for preparing and processing samples for analysis, including extractions for lipidomics, proteomics, and small molecule studies. Ensuring accurate documentation of experimental data and adhering to established protocols are essential aspects of the role. The Research Analyst Principal also operates LC-MS equipment, configuring instruments for precise and reliable data acquisition while monitoring performance during analysis. Routine upkeep and maintenance of laboratory instruments are necessary to ensure optimal functionality, including calibrations, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs. Additionally, the Research Analyst Principal assists with administrative tasks such as inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities to maintain efficient laboratory operations |
