Reporting directly to the Area Vice President of Sales, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our business while working within a supportive and innovative environment. As the Director of Sales, you will attract, develop, and inspire top sales talent to exceed revenue and growth goals, implementing winning strategies that push the boundaries of market share. You will be at the forefront of launching new products and driving results, establishing meaningful connections with key orthopedic surgeons and hospital administrators, while delivering timely customer insights to keep us ahead of the competition. You will manage a sales team focused on excellence, leading from the front by providing mentorship, support, and development opportunities. Your leadership will extend to the Sales Admin and Logistics Team, ensuring that all resources are strategically aligned to maximize sales success. You will drive impactful negotiations, enhance customer relationships, and ensure the seamless execution of Smith & Nephew's educational programs. What will you need to be successful? You will need a minimum of five years of successful sales experience within the medical device industry, along with at least five years of demonstrated success in sales management, including consistently overachieving quotas. You will bring a proven track record of meeting sales objectives across various distribution structures and product segments, using a deep understanding of different sales strategies to capitalize on opportunities and address competitive threats. You will be skilled in understanding financing options and adept at applying resources to meet clients' needs effectively. Your strong analytical capabilities will enable you to assess deal profitability and solve problems efficiently. You will also demonstrate a willingness to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment. Additionally, you will possess strong presentation skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Travel Requirements: 75% All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialling process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management. The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for commissions based on set targets, benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
