Custom Staffing Inc. Facilities Maintenance Technician in Lima, Ohio

Maintenance Technician  Maintenance has two skill levels: (M1) Technician and (M2) Advanced Technician who are responsible for maintenance support to the Packing & Making systems. They are responsible to conduct their work per procedures and in full accordance with the Quality, cGMP, Enzyme, Micro and Safety standards of the company. They are responsible for preventive maintenance work, equipment repairs, packing line start-ups & changeovers, ordering & storing spare parts, maintaining current copies of all equipment manuals and to properly document their work in the service record books provided in the Maintenance office.

  • Services and maintains machines on site

    • Reduce machine DT due to mechanical/electrical issues
```{=html} ``` - Diagnose and correct mechanical problems involving gears, chain and belt drives, conveyors. - Ensures preventive maintenance is performed ```{=html} ``` - - Ensures machine breakdowns are repaired - Ensures current and accurate record of maintenance - Ensures all relevant machines, devices are updated according to Nelson standards - Serve as the main contact of the Maintenance Team to ensure devices are updated and configured correctly - Plan and supervise part rebuilds of specified equipment - Potential welding and fabrication.

  • Ensures a sound spare part warehouse

    • Maintains good housekeeping
    • Ensures availability of spare parts
  • Ensures all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures

  • Leading the Team

    • Ensures team works together as efficiently as possible
    • Assesses training needs of staff and ensures execution of training

Education/Experience:

  • Trade work including electrical/millwright/plumbing or equivalent experience
  • Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot bottling/filling and transfer line equipment or experience in similar field
  • Fast and efficient response time to machine DT and failures.
  • Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines is a plus
  • Experience in working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Hands on experience working with busy engineering department

  • Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment
