Eaton Corporation Manufacturing Technical Services Manager in Lincoln, Illinois

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technical Services Manager. This role is located at our facility in Lincoln, IL.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Our Technical Services Manager will develop, manage and implement strategic initiatives to ensure the business achieves planned results. This leader will also direct and manage plant maintenance, tool room and engineering activities at the Lincoln Plant toward meeting the division and plant objectives of continuous improvement in profit and operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Direct and manage the tool room, maintenance and engineering personnel in cost reduction projects to increase productivity, reduce costs, and achieve maximum manufacturing throughput.

  • Prepare, review, approve, implement and control departmental budgets.

  • Manage the activities of the tool room to assure lowest cost and most efficient tooling for new and existing products.

  • Manage the activities of the maintenance department to assure all existing plant and equipment is kept in like new condition and new equipment is properly installed and maintained. Assure all existing plant equipment is maintained in compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.

  • Lead the Advanced Equipment/Tooling Department/Group.

  • Responsible for all Facility and Equipment Maintenance and Capital Improvements.

  • Advises and consults with the Plant Manager, Value Stream Managers, and others on technical matters

  • Champion for adoption of I4.0 technologies to drive manufacturing efficiency. Technologies include, but not limited to: Automation / Autonomous Mobile Robots, Additive Manufacturing, IIoT machine connectivity and data analytics, Augmented Reality, Process Simulation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning

  • Assure new processes and equipment are reviewed during the planning process to ensure employee safety, product quality, and throughput when implemented; also reviewed for compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain Departmental Metrics

  • Maintain Indirect Materials Inventory/Crib.

  • Actively participate in Strategic/Business Plan development/discussions.

  • Appraise employee performance and administers salaries. Develop employees through training and motivation.

  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and requirements

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

  • Five (5)+ years progressive experience in maintenance and/or tool and die and/or engineering

  • Two (2)+ years management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

  • Advanced degree or MBA

  • Experience with Metal Forming/Die and Tooling Fundamentals

Skills:

  • Must have thorough experience in managing Capital Improvement, Throughput Initiatives and possess skills in project management.

  • Must have excellent supervisory and people leadership skills and be able to lead and motivate direct reports to excellence.

  • Must have good team building and development skills.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations as they apply to facility and processes in coordination with EHS Manager.

Additional Information:

  • Responsibilities include conformance to EHS Management System requirements.

  • Ability to establish external relationships with Machinery and Die OEM’s
