Insight Global Presales Business Manager in Linthicum Heights, Maryland

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring Presales Business Managers to oversee overall project business operations for their assigned projects within the telecommunications sector. Federal Industry knowledge within DoD, Civilian agencies, or military organizations will be essential for upward mobility and to collaboratively interact with both clients and teammates. The Federal Presale Business Manager will provide total presale solution ownership as the overall presale team business leader. This environment is a high volume, fast paced business. The ideal candidate will specialize in complex Federal Enterprise upgrades and Service Offerings. Travel requirements can reach up to 25% based off project and quarterly needs.

Expectations:

 Determine Presale business strategy

 Development of the implementation approach and service plan necessary to win the project

 Meet/exceed customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met

 Manage Motorolas sales, revenue, and margin goals

 Drive all sole source & RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion, managing the schedules of each project team member (engineering, proposal specialist, sales, and service)

 Coordinate with the various functional teams (Systems Integration, Service, Sales, Product Groups) to ensure all of business units goals are addressed in our proposals and win-strategies

The PBM will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

 You will work with customers and our sales teams to understand our customers needs.

 You will manage the development and implementation of the presale process for public safety solutions.

 You will develop a consistent approach to RFPs, proposals, and quoting, which includes creating desired, consistent, and accurate documentation.

 You will manage cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, and Product Teams focused on delivering timely, accurate proposals.

 You will be responsible for creating specific statements of work, producing detailed project schedules, and ensuring the proposed customer solution aligns with the sales teams strategy.

 You will interface with PM Resource Managers, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, Presale Project Planners and Senior Division Staff to effectively coordinate presale activity.

 You may assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.

 You will interface with public safety customers, subcontractors, and other Motorola Solutions, Inc. employees via meetings and/or conference calls.

 You may assist in contract negotiations with public safety customers.

 This is a customer-facing position that relies on solid presentation skills, experience with a wide variety of audiences and a deep knowledge of various public safety agencies. Working with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams requires excellent interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, communication skills, and a collaborative attitude.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree and 4 years of relevant experience (engineering, project or program management, systems experience, sales enablement, PBM, and/or experience with communications systems)

 OR in lieu of degree, 8+ years of experience in project or program management, presales business management, business development, or sales enablement.

 Background/Experience in Federal Space, specifically in the Department of Defense (DoD), civilian government agencies, or military organizations.

 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

 Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences

 Ability to understand complex Federal Enterprise upgrades and Service Offerings

 Ability to take ownership of projects, including length and spend logistics- and drive multiple people to meet project deadlines

 Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

 Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Chrome, Visio, Project, and Google Apps

 Ability to travel up to 25% PMP certification

 DoD Clearence- can cage up to an SCI

 DHS Clearence

 Background in the telecommunication industry (LAN mobile radio familiarity) null
