Job Title: Wire Harness Assembler
Location: Lititz, PA
Pay: $18/hr + based off experience
Shift: 2nd
Job Summary:
Prepares various types of wire for use in harness assemblies and creates wire harness for use in final assembly of product. Types of wire material include: CAT5, twisted pairs, triples, shielded wire, coax cable, standard wire, wire gauge 30-0, ribbon, and fiber optic
Responsibilities:
Cut, strip, and label wire as indicated in work instructions. Apply shrink sleeving to wires and apply labels
Terminate wires by placing pins through the use of manual or machine-assisted crimping, soldering, or lugging
Populates wire connectors by mechanical hand placement or soldering of pins
Utilizes guided assembly tools and machines such as Pinsight and Cirris to assist in connector population
Operates machine to conduct pull test on wire assemblies and utilizes a hand tools to conduct push test on populated connectors
Lays out and threads wire harness from completed wire assemblies by following a harness board diagram
Bundles and ties cable after layout to create cable harness
Ensure proper wire lay and positioning of solder sleeves to lay properly in the harness
Obtains and maintains IPC 620 & 610 certification & JSTD 001 most current revision.
Utilizes databases to look up information and complete data input such as SEQUENCE and SYNCHRONO.
Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.
Skills & Abilities:
Fine manual dexterity
Ability to operate various machines and hand tools
Demonstrates high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as a team player within a small team
Enjoys repetitive and routine work
Ability to read and comprehend work and process instructions (read/understand schematics, CAD drawings or blue prints)
Fine motor skills, dexterity, and good eyesight
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Obtains and maintains basic certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures
