Polar Field Services, Inc. Construction Project Manager - Greenland FEMC in Littleton, Colorado

Polar Field Services, Inc. is looking to hire a Project Manager - Greenland FEMC (Facilities, Engineering, Maintenance, and Construction)who plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of seasonal facility maintenance and upgrade projects across Greenland. This leadership position has a primary focus on the Summit Station and Raven field camp locations but may encompass additional polar regions. The ideal candidate will possess a general understanding of construction and maintenance and comprehensive understanding of project management principles, enabling them to orchestrate and oversee all facets of project management, from conception to completion.

DOES THIS JOB SOUND EXCITING?

As the Project Manager - Greenland FEMC, you are invaluable to our operations. You will work collaboratively with superintendents on various aspects including constructability reviews, material take-offs, procurement strategies, transportation logistics, cargo tracking, seasonal staff recruitment, and travel arrangements. While the core function centers on project management, deployments to the field may be necessary on a case-by-case basis.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GREENLAND FEMC PROJECT MANAGER

BS/BA from an accredited college or university and 10 years related work experience of which 5 must be in project management. Or, if no degree, 15+ years of relevant work experience. Covid-19 vaccination with most recent booster PMP Certification Availability to work extended hours, including afterhours/weekends and on-call. Knowledge of Arctic environments, remote field work and science support is a huge plus. If you have experience with P6 software, even better!

WORK SCHEDULE FOR THE GREENLAND FEMC PROJECT MANAGER

The general work week is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Position may require weekend work and/or deployment to the field during the field season and may require 40+ hours/week at times. Regular and predictable onsite attendance as well as availability to work extended hours, including afterhours/weekends and on-call. Limited time-off, by prior approval, during the field season (April 15 - Sept 15). Are you a friendly person who easily develops positive relationships with others?
