Job Overview:
The Clerical Associate assumes responsibility for all clerical functions on a nursing unit, including the transcription of all physician orders, transport of specimens, room turnover/set up, stocking rooms, escorting patients to assigned patient care areas, SMS registration of patients. Registration of patients as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
Preferred:
Post-Secondary Degree
Emergency Department Clerical Experience
Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes
Scheduling Requirements:
Shift Working: Monday-Friday, Every Other Weekend Required
Evening Shift, 3:00PM-11:00PM
Full-Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week
