The Aerospace Systems Engineer I will apply systems engineering based principles in developing requirements, designs, and validation of customer projects covering multiple disciplines. The role will work with a multi-faceted team developing aerospace and mechanical systems for customer projects by working with multiple internal departments as well as external suppliers. The Systems Engineer will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.   This role will 

Contribute to system design and analysis, test plan development, and integration & build of complex projects for Roush customers, *with a focus on the aerospace and automotive fields.  *

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design, integration, test plan development and execution of complex projects for Roush customers with a focus on the aerospace and automotive fields.
  • Develop and track requirements, validation plans, and test data to ensure the design meets customer objectives.
  • Utilize simulation tools to model complex systems to guide the requirements definition and design activities.
  • Coordinate design input from multiple engineering disciplines from within the company and from external suppliers & customers.
  • Design and develop hardware, systems, and validation testing setups.
  • Develop qualitative and quantitative analysis, using methods such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), to ensure a design meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Document and report project status and results both internally and externally.
  • Provide design, development, integration, and test support at customer and supplier sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.

Must be a US citizen.
