The Aerospace Systems Engineer I will apply systems engineering based principles in developing requirements, designs, and validation of customer projects covering multiple disciplines. The role will work with a multi-faceted team developing aerospace and mechanical systems for customer projects by working with multiple internal departments as well as external suppliers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with design, integration, test plan development and execution of complex projects for Roush customers with a focus on the aerospace and automotive fields.
- Develop and track requirements, validation plans, and test data to ensure the design meets customer objectives.
- Utilize simulation tools to model complex systems to guide the requirements definition and design activities.
- Coordinate design input from multiple engineering disciplines from within the company and from external suppliers & customers.
- Design and develop hardware, systems, and validation testing setups.
- Develop qualitative and quantitative analysis, using methods such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), to ensure a design meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Document and report project status and results both internally and externally.
- Provide design, development, integration, and test support at customer and supplier sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related.
Must be a US citizen.
