About the Role:

The Position of Application Implementation Lead is responsible for managing the implementation, training, and ongoing support of Transdev’s key operational systems including Mobi, TKP, VDS, and Command Console. The position requires the ability to work closely with locations to determine their specific operating criteria to ensure that systems are functioning properly. The position will oversee and monitor the progress of other staff assigned to the implementation project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementation Project Management: Manage the implementation of Transdev operational systems. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and successful deployment. Oversee the work of the Application Specialists and consultants assigned to the projects. Provide regular status updates. Coordinate with Business Solutions to ensure that rules and parameters are appropriately set.

  • Product Documentation: Assist in the development of training material, guides, standard operating procedures, checklists, and other documentation that can be used by sites to ensure that best practices are being followed.

  • Product Support: Provide ongoing support for Transdev operational systems as the subject matter expert providing expertise and guidance to the locations and implementation staff. Trouble shoot systems issues and coordinate with IT and Business Solutions. Coordinate with Human Resources, and Legal to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices are followed.

  • Implementation and Training: Oversee the onsite implementation and training. Provide onsite training and support as needed. Ensure that sites understand and are trained in Transdev standard operating procedures and best practices.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing to ensure that software and payroll changes are accurate, functional, and reliable. Address discrepancies identified in testing, working closely with the development teams at Group and in the United States to Implement resolutions.

  • Business Improvement: Work closely with the locations and other Performance Team leaders to identify areas for opportunity and improvement. Provide training and support for the sites can drive continuous incremental improvement. Create action plans for addressing operational deficiencies and deviations from best practices or Standard Operating Procedures.

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Relevant experience (4 years) in public transit operations management may be substituted for a degree.

Required Experience:

  • Must have at least three years of experience using Transdev operations applications including VDS and Mobi; a minimum of two years experience in systems implementation and training implementation a minimum of one year experience managing projects and/or people.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

  • Ability to work in a demanding environment with competing demands and timelines.

  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage system-wide software upgrades, deployments and interfaces

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization and interpersonal skills essential. Must have the ability to prioritize and deal with time pressures and daily system problems.

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently with limited direction.

  • Ability to manage competing demands and timelines.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple project simultaneously.

  • Must have the ability to prioritize projects and deal with time pressures.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must the good the ability to solve problems in a practical and pragmatic manner.

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.

  • Proficient knowledge and skill required with Windows operating system and MS Office programs. Ability to use and master specialty transit-related software applications.

  • Ability to manage indirect reporting staff, coordinate and assign schedules, oversee and critique work and provide guidance to project staff.

  • Demonstrated mastery of Transdev operational systems.

This position will be based at our Lombard, IL Headquarters, however given the nature of extensive field support and related travel, the position’s base can be considered from alternative major metropolitan markets.

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed including evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

  • 90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
