S&P Global Associate Director/Director –Sustainability Solutions GRESB Verification Expert in London, United Kingdom

S&P Global Market Intelligence Sustainability Solutions team is seeking Sustainability experts to join its dynamic team to focus on growing our business and strengthening the delivery power globally.

Location - London, UK or Vienna, Austria

The candidate shall have experience in assurance and verification work across various sectors. In particular:

  • Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks in the real estate sector like GRESB, EPRA, INREV, GHG Protocol.

  • Experience of Assurance Standard AA1000AS, and/or ISAE3000 (knowledge of ISAE3410 or ISO14064-3 for GHG verification an advantage)

The candidate will be responsible for designing solutions for clients, leading and delivering projects to clients by compiling the full suite of S&P Global’s Sustainability offering.

Specific projects could include implementing an ISSB Framework, a Sustainable Finance Framework or other holistic solutions, identifying climate-related opportunities or supporting decarbonization strategies by setting Science-Based Targets.

The candidate collaborates with the global product groups and reports directly to the Global Head of Sustainability Solutions.

This position is client-facing and requires heavy interaction with senior representatives of our clients.

What you’ll work on:

  • Implementation projects which require strong project management as well as technical ESG skills

  • Sales and commercial activities such as the development of new products

  • Become a trusted partner for our clients when it comes to Sustainability best practice

  • Strong affinity to technical and data driven solutions is required as S&P products heavily rely on the broad data basis available

  • Leading RfP process and compiling client proposal

  • Opportunity to participate and speak at industry events, represent S&P Global as a thought leader

What we look for:

A highly motivated and passionate individual who is dynamic, articulate, well-rounded, critical thinker with the resourcefulness and qualitative skills that will allow them to execute effectively on all client tasks.

  • Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks in the real estate sector such as GRESB, EPRA, INREV, GHG Protocol.

  • Experience of Assurance Standard AA1000AS, and/or ISAE3000 (knowledge of ISAE3410 or ISO14064-3 for GHG verification an advantage)

  • Strong people and project management skills

  • Assurance and / or consulting background (ideally from Strategy Consultants or Big4s)

  • Perfect English skills

  • Perfect presentation and writing skills

  • Master degree or at least 7yrs experience relevant work experience in a financial industry sector

  • Strong ESG focus (ISSB, TNDF, transitional and physical risk management, enterprise risk management, target setting – SBTi)

  • Strong capabilities in creating PowerPoint presentations for Executive Level Clients

  • Good knowledge of policy and trends of the capital market

  • C2 or native in English
