Google Customer Engineer, Google Cloud in London, United Kingdom

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 4 years of experience with AI/ML technologies.

  • Experience delivering technical presentations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design, and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems.

  • Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch/real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (e.g., Extract, transform, load/Extract, Load, and Transform), data migrations, data visualization tools, and data governance on cloud native architectures.

  • Experience with technical sales or professional consulting in the fields of cloud computing, data, information life-cycle management, and ML operations.

  • Experience in VertexAI and LLM.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data), cloud market, engaged dynamics, and customer buying behavior.

As a Customer Engineer, you will work with technical Sales teams as a Machine Learning (ML) subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving any potential roadblocks. You will work with customers and product development to shape the future of the AI/Generative AI platform.

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.

  • Own the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.

  • Demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.

  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.

  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
