Description of the position:

Tradeweb’s Finance function operates a global team across two different locations – New York and London. The department consists of over 100 employees overseen by the CFO based in New York. The role is directly managed by International Statutory & Regulatory Reporting Manager (London based) who reports to Managing Director, Head of Regulatory Reporting & Technical Accounting (New York based) and this role will also report indirectly to Managing Director, Head of International Finance in London.

Tradeweb is currently looking to recruit a Statutory & Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join the International Finance team. The vision for this role is that the successful candidate will build a working knowledge of Tradeweb’s statutory financial and regulatory reporting processes and draft statutory reports and filings with help and support from external accountants, service providers and auditors.

What you will be doing:

• Assist in preparing financial statements under IFRS, UK GAAP, Dutch GAAP and other local GAAPs including the preparation of GAAP adjustment entries and other statutory entries

• Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory returns for all international entities and branches based on MIFIDPRU and other regulatory regulations

• Involve in monthly review of capital and liquidity levels for all international entities

• Assist in dealing with external auditors and handling audit requests

• Understanding and interpreting current and forthcoming accounting standards and regulatory reporting rules to ensure compliance to accounting standards and regulatory regulations for the international entities

• Assist in finance automation projects relating to Global Statutory and Regulatory reporting

• Deal with ad-hoc requests from the business relating to the reporting

• Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to explain financial requirements and develop knowledge sharing

Essential skills or experience you should have:

• University degree

• Ability to draft IFRS financial statements and regulatory returns

• Analytical ability with proactive attitude

• Desire to build a commercial understanding of the business – not just ‘numbers in boxes’

• Excellent Excel skills

• Good communication skills, both written and oral

• Strong team player

Nice to have skills or experience:

• Experience in top tier accounting firms

• Financial services industry experience

• Experience in working with large/complex datasets

• Tableau/ Alteryx/ Workiva
