Citigroup Marketing Analyst Specialist in London, United Kingdom

The marketing specialist is responsible for oversight and implementation of marketing programmes and major client events across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa cluster for Fixed Income and Acess team which primarily supports Citi's Markets business. This individual will work under the direction of the Head of Fixed Income Access and Macro for UK, Europe and MEA in partnership with the relationship management and sales teams. The right candidate should be highly organized, tech savvy, with demonstrated ability to deliver on shared goals and commitments. The candidate needs to have proven success in managing marketing and branding programs and demonstrate a successful track record of event planning. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build consensus on strategy and execution are a key component of the role. This role is based in London.

The Marketing Specialist is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in managing all aspects of client and prospect events including: invitation process; compliance reviews; logistics; on-site and virtual client interaction; budget maintenance; gift, venue, décor, and menu selection; maintenance of CRM system including recording post-attendee data; post-event follow-up and data capture

  • Use post-event feedback to determine best practices for future events including researching and conducting competitive benchmarking

  • Collaborate with sponsorship organizations and other vendor partners

  • Event website build including upload of agenda, collecting headshots, biographies and release forms including submitting approvals for Government Officials where applicable. The right candidate must be confident to manage external vendors to deliver a best in class client experience

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

Relevant Marketing and event planning experience within financial services industry.

  • In person marketing experience is required

  • Solid understanding of financial products and services

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strict and careful attention to detail

  • Ability to solve problems in a challenging and time constrained environment

  • Ability to manage priorities and multi-task

  • Ability to pinpoint key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine if event was successful

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Successful track record of leading and creating momentum

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience (preferred but not essential)
