Medical Information Manager UK&I affiliate

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Medical Information Manager. This position involves working closely with colleagues across the business and utilizes Gilead product knowledge to optimize internal and external customer communications.

Job Overview

  • Responds to unsolicited medical requests regarding Gilead products from HCPs, members of the public, and internal Gilead colleagues.

  • Ensure the identification, reporting and recording of adverse events and product complaints in a timely manner in accordance with procedural documents

  • Act as a point of contact with affiliate stakeholders to ensure the MI function supports adequately the needs of local teams

  • Contributes to development of MI strategy and represents MI cross functionally

Responsibilities

Routine responsibilities may include the following:

  • Prioritise and provide timely written or verbal responses to healthcare professionals, patients and employees requesting medical/product information related to Gilead's medicines in accordance with relevant guidelines

  • Triage enquiries to relevant internal departments

  • Providing Medical Information expertise and support to external MI vendor

  • Identify, report and record adverse events and product complaints in a timely manner in accordance with relevant SOPs

  • Closely collaboration and sharing of knowledge (best practice) with the Regional Medical Information Team

  • Review and provide analysis of MI databases for trends, customer insights and data gaps to guide content

  • Provide relevant internal training to colleagues and vendor where required

  • Participate in external regulatory inspections and the internal GxP audit programme, liaising other functions as needed

  • Create, update, or implement policies, SOPs, business practices, and work instructions, as needed

  • Analyse departmental metrics so that patterns, trends, and issues are identified and shared with senior management and other internal stakeholders

  • Participate in global initiatives / working groups and projects, as needed

  • May support MI booths at scientific congress and answer scientific questions – travel may be required

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills,

  • Ability to create and provide clear communication of scientific data for different audiences, including members of the public

  • Proven track record in working in a dynamic, cross-functional environment

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations regarding the dissemination of medical information, pharmaceutical industry promotional/non-promotional activities and adverse event and product quality complaint reporting

  • Knowledge of industry Medical Information common practices, adverse event and product complaint reporting.

  • Highly self-motivated and able to perform multiple tasks in a timely fashion

Education and Experience

  • Pharmacy, Nursing or Medical/ Life Sciences degree/advanced degree or equivalent

  • Experience in Medical Information required.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a MI vendor required.

This role is based in Holborn, London as a hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home.
