Role Summary Description
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Cloud Architect to join our innovative Architecture team. This is not your typical Ivory Tower role; we need a team player who can collaborate effectively across Cloud Infrastructure, Product Development, and Security teams. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise with Azure Cloud Technology. In this role, you will design robust cloud solutions, create reference architectures, consult across multiple teams, and drive improvements in our existing cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
Architect and design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions using Azure Cloud Technology, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure and Product Development teams to deliver cohesive and efficient solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive reference architectures that support product requirements.
Provide expert guidance on best practices for enhancing our existing cloud infrastructure, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
Conduct thorough assessments of our cloud environment to identify performance issues and opportunities for enhancement.
Partner with the Security team to ensure compliance and mitigate risks within our cloud solutions.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in cloud technology and related fields to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
Required Skills & Experience
Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Technology and a strong understanding of its components and services.
Proven ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Ansible.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Understanding of network architecture and security in cloud environments.
Experience with cloud migration projects and legacy system integration.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to cloud environments (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of cost management and optimization strategies within cloud environments.
