Lower Columbia College Testing & Proctoring Program Assistant (part-time) in Longview, Washington

In this role, you will help with data entry, placement exam scheduling, and administration, while providing crucial support for remote placement coordination and Multiple Measure evaluations. You'll also have the opportunity to assist with community and course exams, helping to keep everything running efficiently and accurately. This position offers flexibility, with expanded Testing & Proctoring Center hours until 6 PM, aligning with other student services such as tutoring. You'll also have the chance to get involved in specialized events, including Math Bootcamp and Nursing Admission exams, contributing to the success of these programs. This position is categorized as a Program Assistant under the State of Washington Class Specification. This position is a permanent part-time position that works 75 hours per month or 18ish hours per week and serves a probationary period of 6 months. This is an in-person part-time position requiring flexible scheduling based on testing and placement needs. Typical scheduling will be 2-6 PM, Tuesday - Friday. Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Perform placement data entry with accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in administering placement, community, and course exams
  • Maintain organized records and files for testing activities
  • Serve as a resource for questions related to placement practices and policies
  • Utilize tools such as Google Suites, PeopleSoft ctcLink, and Navigate EAB to manage data and support operational tasks
  • Provide phone support for student and candidate inquiries
  • Provide occasional coordination of a small remote team (1-2 members) as needed

Typical Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education.
  • 1 year of experience providing customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Google Suites or similar programs (Docs, Sheets, and Drive, Microsoft programs).
  • Familiarity with data management practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with and serve diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with placement testing procedures or academic support services.
