Robert Half Hybrid Staff Accountant in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are seeking the next finance superstar to add to our team in Los Angeles in the role of Staff Accountant. Responsibilities include assisting with month end close, leading Accounts Receivable, performing reconciliations, and booking other transactions as needed.

KEYS

  • General accounting but heavy with accounts receivable

  • Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance

  • 4+ years’ experience in accounting/finance

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements

  • Excellent/advanced use in Microsoft Excel to include pivots, if statements, VLOOKUP’s, keyboard short cuts REQUIRED

  • Experience with NetSuite

  • Preferably experience in the Food, Beverage, or Consumer Products Industry

Things You’ll Do:

  • Invoice and apply Payments

  • Assist with chargebacks and revenue deductions

  • Assist with Month End Close Duties

  • Substantiate financial transactions and perform reconciliations

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies

  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.

  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.

  • Be knowledgeable about, research and interpret accounting policies and regulations

  • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

  • Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

What It Takes:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting/finance

  • Experience with financial reporting requirements

  • Excellent/advanced use in Microsoft Excel to include pivots, if statements, VLOOKUPS, keyboard short cuts

  • Experience with NetSuite

  • Preferably experience in the Food, Beverage, or Consumer Products Industry
