Job Title: Manager, Creative Operations
A little bit about our team:
The Rhino Art Department is the creative hub for the Global Catalog development arm of Warner Music Group. The art team handles ideation and creation of physical products, art for digital offerings, marketing assets, campaign tools for worldwide initiatives, and photo editing/research. We work on projects that support the greatest artists ever signed to Warner Music Group!
Your role:
This role will act as the central hub for the administrative operations for the Art Department, with an emphasis on physical products. They will oversee the assignment of projects to internal and external designers, work with A&R Administration and Finance to source, budget and hire external creative resources, gather info sheets, editorial content and creative files for designers to start a project, monitor the overall workload for the design team and help drive the timely delivery of creative output.
Here you’ll get to:
Provide administrative support, prioritization and workload oversight for physical packaging and marketing assets
Assign physical and digital releases to internal and external designers
Maintain and update a project assignment schedule for all physical design projects
Determine and track budgets needed for specific projects and the overall Art Department workflow
Partner with A&R Administration to determine freelance design costs, setup vendors for payment, process invoices and track payment.
Be a high-level liaison with Production, Editorial, Product Development, A & R, Photo Research, Business Affairs, Finance and Content Development teams to overcome obstacles in completing releases
Research and manage a data base of external photographers, designers and illustrators to work with
Advise on photo research, curation, and licensing of relevant material
Work with the production team on timelines, samples, and materials
Provide minor packaging file edits as needed
Gather finished packaging files and proactively share them with the Digital Art team to create assets
Archive final package and asset files
Support the Art Department Coordinator in managing the Digital Asset Request workflow
Communicate with our business affairs team on licensing and contract questions
Source, hire and manage a variety of consultants, freelance designers, and illustrators
About you:
Accomplished Creative Operations Manager with 3-5 years of related experience
Highly organized and able to work with a wide variety people
Expert understanding of creative design and physical goods packaging
Advanced knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Handle several ongoing projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize work
Strong conceptual planner, a thinker, and problem solver
Love to contribute ideas but can also take direction
Have a passion for music and a desire to translate that into amazing art
Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and part of the team
Excellent organization, project management and prioritization skills
We’d love it if you also had:
A degree/certificate from an institute of higher learning (art/design related)
Experienced Mac user and familiar with Google Workspace
An understanding of video production, photography, and packaged goods

Effective October 1st, this position will require being in the office 4 days a week. We believe that an in-office presence is critical for talent development, collaboration and building strong relationships.
Salary Range
$70,000 to $80,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
