Description

As a Medical Payment Poster, you will be essential in our financial division, aiding in the accurate and efficient posting of medical payments. Your role will involve reviewing explanations of benefits (EOBs) and posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts using our hospital's database system.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Accurately post payments from EOBs to appropriate patient accounts.

• Ensure all payments, adjustments, and denials are properly posted to the correct accounts.

• Handle all automatic electronic payment posting.

• Assist in the reconciliation of postings with the daily deposit.

• Identify errors or discrepancies in postings and work to correct them promptly.

• Actively participate in various audit processes while adhering to the organization's set standards.

• Collaborate with team members, cross-functional departments, and patients to address concerns or issues.

  Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical payment posting.

• Excellent understanding of medical terminology and insurance terminology.

• Experience working with automated medical billing systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
