UCLA Health Program Management Officer - Family Medicine in Los Angeles, California

Description

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Program Management Officer will direct all activities as they relate to HIV/AIDS education and

compliance, including: managing, overseeing, and monitoring the fiscal administration and progress of over $1,000,000 annually in

directly funded programs, as well as other specialized initiatives, federal, state and local policy development and implementation, and

special community, state, national and international technical assistance efforts. The Program Management Officer will seek and secure funding from

multiple sources to support such programs and direct required activities of relevant faculty, groups, and organizations. You will oversee the design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art training programs in English and Spanish;

Oversee compliance and evaluation activities for a variety of universities/colleges, Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Health

Professions Programs (HPPs), Health Professional Organizations (HPOs) regionally and nationally to meet program requirements and

assess opportunities for further educational, research and policy activities to be carried out under these and other programs; and

ensure compliance with all program requirements with national project directors, and promote continued funding through grant

writing and solicitation of private and public funding sources.

Salary Range: $95900 - $222100/Annually

Qualifications

All Required:

  • Advanced degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Academic background and experience in selected area of research.

  • Advanced knowledge of administrative, budgetary, human resources and financial principles and practices.

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to think creatively and independently on concepts requiring advanced analytical skills.

  • Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups to achieve results.

  • Advanced ability to work collaboratively with internal and external peers and managers.

  • Demonstrated skills in working with a variety of groups of health care providers, both traditional and nontraditional.

  • Ability to organize data in order to present in written and oral form reports and presentations to public and private health care.

  • Demonstrated skill in developing assessment tools for health care providers.

  • Skills in coordinating training programs in English and Spanish for AIDS education programs for health care providers.

  • Skill in coordinating and conducting training programs among health care agencies, assuring continuity, consistency and adherence to establish guidelines and curricula in English and Spanish.

  • Ability to work on weekends and evenings.

  • Skill in analyzing curricula, educational objectives and material content of a variety of AIDS related training programs.
