BDUK is looking for a MOPS Instructor to work within the RAF P-8A Training Facility at RAF Lossiemouth.

The Role:

The P-8A Maritime Operations (MOps) Instructor will perform ground training in accordance with company standards, customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Conduct MOps Instruction: Create and deliver MOps training.

  • Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.

  • Apply Various Training Methods: Use both instructor-led and computer-based training approaches.

  • Ensures accuracy and quality of training products.

  • Operates tool to provide support to the Scenario Generation System

  • Evaluate Student Competence: Assess students' skills according to regulatory requirements.

  • Support Scenario Generation: Assist in creating scenarios for synthetic training as requested by the customer

  • Coaches and develops others.

  • Provide training services that meet the highest technical and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and processes and embrace first-time quality as a way of life – not accepting, creating or passing any defects, and not being afraid to speak up if finding any.

  • Identifying and correcting conditions and behaviours that affect employee, public, and customer safety; upholding safety standards; demonstrating proactive safety culture leadership.

Essential Requirements:

  • The MOps instructor shall have an RAF/RN instructional background and shall be either an ex maritime WSO or RN Observer. The MOps instructor shall have been instructionally qualified as a WSO or RN Observer in the maritime role.

  • Successfully completed Aircrew Instructor’s Course or Defence Train the Trainer Course or equivalent

  • The ability to communicate with personnel from multiple skill areas, cultures and functions

  • IT proficient specifically Microsoft Office applications Skill and ability to: collect, organise and analyse data; summarise findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

  • Other appropriate background, experience and qualifications may be deemed acceptable

This role is subject to contract award
