Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk for a university located in Louisburg, North Carolina. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and primarily involves auditing, data entry, and account reconciliation. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations, handling accounts receivable, and ensuring balance sheets are accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Auditing and preparing financial information

• Ensuring fixed assets, accruals, and prepaids match

• Maintaining balance sheets and ensuring they are accurate

• Performing cleanup tasks and booking year ends

• Handling accounts receivable and ensuring they are accurately recorded

• Utilizing software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, and SAP for various tasks

• Working extensively with Microsoft Excel for data entry and invoice processing

• Handling part student accounts and part revenue accountancy

• Reconciling accounts and ensuring all entries are accurate

• Working within an office environment and collaborating with team members. Requirements • Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or a similar role in the Accounting department is required.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and managing data.

• Experience with accounting software like Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is necessary.

• Strong knowledge of Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures.

• Experience with Billing and Invoice Processing is required.

• Must have excellent data entry skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must be able to adhere to strict confidentiality policies and ethical standards.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
