About the RoleAre you looking for a challenging opportunity that leverages your planning and scheduling experience? Come join us!

As a Material Planner with Sierra Space, you will be developing your skills to plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process. You'll track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

We are actively recruiting for both Material Planners at Level II and Level III.

We're looking for dreamers who align with our values, vision and audacious goals - while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics or related field of study and typically three (3) years of relevant experience; higher-level degree may substitute for experience

Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

Experience with the engineering change process

Knowledge of master production planning

Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Supply Chain Management and /or Operations Management

Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR)

Understanding of Unified Commercial Code (UCC)

Prior experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and /or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Estimated Salary Ranges for Material Planners: Level II $68,926.06 - $94,773.33 Level III $79,264.96 - $108,989.33

Additional Requirements:

Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps

Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity

Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.

Working Conditions:

Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)

Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials

Rarely exposed to loud noises
