Education / Training:

Required:

• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance;

• CPA/CMA is a plus;

• Three years or more related experience, preferred;

• Ability to travel up to 10% required.

Key Job Elements:

• Perform monthly closing activities, to include journal entry preparation, account analysis, and account reconciliations including detailed supporting schedules;

• Engage with operations management to assist in preparing and analyzing annual budgets, as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts;

• Manage inventory cost accounting processes, ensuring cost and quantity accuracy;

• Responsible for Accounts Payable, Customer Invoicing, and Accounts Receivable for multiple Signal Locations;

• Implement and ensure adherence to SOX controls;

• Ensure timely submission of supporting documentation for all internal and external audit requests;

• Lead or participate in special projects for the Signaling team as needed;

• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reporting for internal management as requested;

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);

• Infor LN or other ERP systems and Cognos/TM1 reporting knowledge is a plus;

• Must demonstrate analytical skills and general knowledge of accounting processes;

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

• Strong organizational skills, able to consistently meet deadlines;

• Ability to work independently, and contribute to a team environment;

• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting is a plus.

Essential and Physical Activities Functions:

• Strength – Heavy lifting is rare but may be required;

• Motion – The position spends most of the time in an office setting. The position will require occasional walking, standing, stooping, and bending;

• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;

• Work Environment – Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility. Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+ decibels);

• Emotional Demands – Required to liase with multiple levels within the organization; including senior leaders and managers; Individual must be well-spoken, able to manage multiple priorities and individual requests daily;

• Safety – This is not a safety sensitive position. It is primarily an office position requiring awareness of the safety requirements in an office environment within the facility; must be capable of following all safety protocols.
