As a Collateral Specialist, your day will be filled with opportunities to process and set up collateral records, ticklers and clearing of loan exception as well as perfecting the banks collateral position. Banking experience in loan processing is important to function successfully in this position while Stock Yards Bank will provide a professional environment to continually improve the candidate’s skills to further his/her career goals for advancement within the banking profession.Responsibilities Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:System set up of collateral records and ticklersLien Perfection of titles, UCC’s, Mortgages and any other collateral takenClearing of Loan ExceptionsFile loan documents in file room and review collateral documents for completeness prior to sending to jurisdiction for perfectionOther duties as assigned Provide highest level of quality serviceCustomer contact with internal and external customers. Work closely with all personnel in Loan Operations.Be able to make decisions within limits set within the Loan Operations Department.Job RequirementsThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications:Completion of four years of high school or equivalent required.Previous loan processing is required, preferably one to two years.General banking specific to loan processing is required. Requires attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customer, co-workers and management. High level of organization and attention to accuracy and detail is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, discretion, and diplomacy.Knowledge of Premier Navigator preferredBenefits401(k) with a company match of up to 6%ESOP employer matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceCancer / Disease insuranceAccident insuranceFlexible Spending AccountsHealth Savings AccountsBank paid Life / AD& D insuranceVoluntary Life / AD&D insuranceBank paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
