Leidos QTC Health Services is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinic Louisville, KY.
What part would you play in this role?
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing routine and basic front and back-office duties. These duties will include answering phones, data entry, assisting in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs and recording information on patients charts, drawing and collecting blood samples and/or urine samples from patients, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and conducting a variety of diagnostic tests.
In this rewarding role, you will:
Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, data entry.
Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician.
Interview patients
Measures vital signs.
Record information on patients' charts
Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.
Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis!
Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests.
Competencies:
Exceptional customer service skills that will enhance the interaction with the providers, operational teams and clients

The ability to demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures.
The ability to maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment.
Technology driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.
You must have:
Education
High School Diploma/GED
Certification - One of the following:
Level 1- 3: Graduate from a medical assistant school and/or graduation from an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program, and/or military equivalent.
Level 4 and 5: Current National Medical Assistant certification or has military experience as a Military Medic or Navy Corpsman.
Level 5: Associate Degree in Medical Assisting. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
0 10 years of medical assistant experience.
CPR/ BLScertification required within 30 days of starting.
Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environmentpreferred.
A medical clearance that consists of passing an N95 respirator fit test, pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test.
Typical Day:
Initial training is first 3 weeks
Position is located ONSITE at our clinic in Louisville, KY (address: 9702 Stonestreet Rd Ste 210, Louisville, KY 40272)
Rotating 8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00am 8:00pm, Monday - Friday, with intermittent weekends between 7am 4pm.
Pay and Benefits:
Hourly Rates are based on experience and education. Plus potential quarterly bonuses up to 6%, and annual merit increases up to 5%.
Level I (0-1 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $17.20 - $17.79 per hour
Level II (1-3 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $18.75 - $19.74 per hour
Level III (3-5 yrs of exp. plus MA diploma) = $20.18 - $21.24 per hour
Level IV (5 yrs of exp. plus MA certification) = 22.53 - $23.72 per hour
Level V (10 yrs of exp. plus Associates in Medical Assisting and MA cert) = $24.60 - $25.89 per hour
