University of Louisville Research Technician I (Part Time) in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require professional certification. Grade 4 (Hourly)Position Description:The Research Technician I position in the School of Medicine Department Division of Colorectal Surgery will be responsible for performing important laboratory work for surgical and colorectal tumor cellular biology research. The position will serve as the chief laboratory technician for the lab’s animal experimental research and will be heavily involved in experiments focused on tumor microenvironment interactions between different cell populations. It will involve a combination of small animal (mouse) work and in vitro work (e.g. cell culture, flow cytometry, sample preparation). The position will be responsible for maintaining IACUC certification within the University and all administration and training that are related.
