We are hiring a Senior Accountant for our growing team! The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, record, and general ledger accounts. The Staff Accountant will work alongside the Assistant Controller and Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining financial reports, record, and general ledger accounts
Preparing journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
Contributing to the developments and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and conducting internal audits
Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
Ensure revenue and expenses are allocated to the correct cost centers
Analyze profit margins and markups
Responding to information request, reviewing financial statement, and assisting with audits
Ensuring compliance with GAAP
Monthly sales tax and tire use tax
Assisting the Assistant Controller and Controller as needed
Ensure revenue and expenses are allocated to the correct cost centers
Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required
Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
Maintain a valid driver’s license
Key Experience and Education Needed:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
2+ years of accounting experience
Appropriate State and Federal Clearances
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system
Knowledge and experience with Sage 300 and Excel
Knowledge and experience with GAAP
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to problem solve
Ability to manage time appropriately
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner
Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
