Description We are offering a role in the Gambling Industries in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky, United States, for a Staff Accountant. This role is a contract-based employment opportunity and will involve key responsibilities such as the preparation of financial statements, reconciliation of accounts, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in generating financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Conduct reconciliations of various financial accounts, including bank accounts and general ledger accounts, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including the processing of invoices, making vendor payments, and invoicing customers.

• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions, including journal entries.

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, including making accruals, adjustments, and financial analysis.

• Support budgeting and forecasting activities by gathering and analyzing financial data.

• Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and assisting auditors as needed.

• Maintain financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.

• Utilize skills such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

• Experience in executing bank reconciliations.

• Ability to maintain and manage general ledger effectively.

• Skilled in preparing journal entries and maintaining records.

• Proficiency in conducting month-end close procedures.

• Familiarity with the gambling industries is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with relevant regulations.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
