Antech Diagnostics Senior Cost Accountant in Loveland, Colorado

This is a Hybrid role based out of our Loveland, CO location.
The Target Pay Range for this position is $84,000 - 110,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
Job Purpose/Overview
Working under minimal supervision, this position maintains and controls the General Ledger accounts and transactions of the organization, applying generally accepted accounting principles that include analytical work and thorough review of financial accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze and maintain cost accounting systems, ensuring accurate cost data for products, services, and operations.
Prepare detailed cost reports, including labor, materials, overhead, and variance analysis.
Ensure accurate tracking of standard costs, actual costs, and inventory valuations.
Assist with cost forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
Ensure proper valuation and accurate reporting of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Perform periodic inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
Analyze inventory turnover and product profitability.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, focusing on cost-related information.
Support period-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and internal controls.
Prepare journal entries and perform general account analysis and reconciliation
Identify and analyze reconciling items between the general ledger and supporting details, and account for them accordingly.
Analyze reports detailing expenses by function and assist in controlling costs and generating profitability.
Supports other functional areas by providing requested data, answering accounting questions, participating in cross functional teams and providing training as appropriate.
Seeks process improvements and problem resolution in all aspects of the job function.
Special projects as needed, including ERP implementation/testing
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
4+ years’ related experience in a manufacturing environment
In-depth understanding of US GAAP
CPA or CMA, or candidate preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel (i.e. pivots, VLOOKUP’s), Outlook and PowerPoint
Working Conditions
The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office or virtual environment. The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment or a remote home office. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, database management, email, video conferencing and the Internet. The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. Environment where pets are present
