Job Description Summary

The Engineering Project Manager at GE Aerospace is part of a highly respected team developing high reliability Electrical/Mechanical products for the Aerospace industry.

As part of the Integrated Product Team, you will be responsible for execution of projects from the design phase through qualification and handoff to production. As the Engineering Project Manager, you will drive design project success through adherence to GE Aerospace tollgate process.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Engineering Project Manager will interact closely with a broad range of other functions including Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Customers to execute NPI/B&P/NTI projects. The principle duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Responsible for developing and managing engineering / technology projects.

  • Interfaces with internal/external customers to ensure organization resource allocation is made.

  • Accountable to deliver the scope of work to the original cost estimate.

  • Manages schedule, budget, and integration of NPI and/or requisition projects, including influencing the projects to meet customer CTQs and hit program milestones.

  • Work with domestic and global integrated product team to meet program deliverables.

  • Interfaces with customer's technical and project team to provide program status, risks, and technical deliverables.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

  • Actively contributes to Continuous Improvement.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.

  • Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or related field from an accredited university or college

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering and/or project management

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.

  • 4 years of engineer technical experience and 4 years of program/project management

  • Familiarity with the tollgate process and aviation FAR 25 and FAR 33 certifications

  • Familiarity with DO-16

  • Familiarity with AS9100

  • Familiarity with Aerospace NPI, B&P, and NTI

  • Familiarity with Hydraulic/Pneumatic Aerospace Hardware

The base pay range for this position is $105,600.00 - 176,000.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 7/1/2024.
