Position Overview:

As the Supplier Quality Manager, youre a key member of the Global Quality Team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Supplier Quality. You will contribute to the success of Ball by developing and implementing a supplier quality program. You will have responsibility for coordinating and maintaining overall quality metrics.

Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and conduct risk based auditing for suppliers to assure compliance to Quality and Food Safety and Regulatory requirements.

• Request and review supplier documentation (Supplier Questionnaires, CoCs, , Specifications, 3rd party certification documents).

• Lead and influence the supply base continuous improvement efforts.

• Partner with Engineering to develop material specifications.

• Partner with Procurement to establish supplier expectations (scorecard).

• Partner with suppliers to foster continuous improvement.

• Establish sampling and testing protocols for those raw materials that pose a risk to production.

• Development of manufacturing and testing equipment requirements for acceptance and approval.

• Implement and or strengthen programs used to identify, track, and resolve supplier nonconformance issues and clearly communicate expectations to such suppliers.

• Partner with production locations to determine root cause and implementation of corrective actions with suppliers.

• Partner with other functions to develop, enhance and maintain corporate and site quality measurements and critical analytical skills.

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelors Degree in Quality Assurance, Supplier Management, or other related discipline or 5-7 years of work related experience in continuous improvement in a manufacturing or food safety environment.

• Three (3)or more years experience doing quality assurance or quality management roles within manufacturing or food safety environments.

• Minimum of five (5) years experience supplier management, including evaluating supplier performance, conducting supplier audits, and fostering continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.

• Minimum of 3 years experience leading and driving continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing or food safety environments

• Communication: communication skills, communicate with diverse personnel of each region to confirm and train out best-practices.

• Leadership: leading projects using Lean/Continuous Improvement tools .

• Quality: Statistical Process Control (SPC) , characteristic classification assignment, FMEA, GR&R and other quality assurance elements.

• Knowledge of:

• ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000
