Duties and Responsibilities
Safe and efficient performance of tasks required to maintain, repair, calibrate existing plant electrical and electronic equipment components, instrumentation and controls
Install, maintain, troubleshoot and program functions for programmable logic controllers.
Safely operate mobile equipment when necessary
Competently perform necessary tasks to satisfy work orders and verbal directives from supervisor, complete all paperwork and reports associated with daily job functions, or other data as required by supervisor
Assess scope of necessary work and materials required for task, retrieve materials and complete task
Inspect for and perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures when need is observed
Participates in any training that may be required to improve job performance or operating efficiency
Communicate to supervisor problems or areas of concern and coordinate work efforts with co-workers
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Working Conditions
Must be able to walk over rough terrain, stoop, reach, climb, kneel, and carry up to 60 pounds
Position requires work, both indoors and outdoors, involving temperature extremes, dust, noise and humidity, with the risk of contact with electrical circuits containing high voltage
Regular attendance is required. Overtime may be required as determined by management
Qualifications
Must be able to read and write comprehensibly
Certified electrician, associate degree (or equivalent) in electronic technology, 2 years' experience with industrial electricity, skilled in reading and interpreting schematics and block/ladder diagrams
Basic computer skills and knowledge of interface with programmable logic controllers
Must be capable of operating mobile equipment
