Title: RN – Registered Nurse Department Pool – Pre-op

Position Description: RN

BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Pre-op team at St. Joseph's Hospital - North .

The RN responsibilities include:

• Independently caring for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

• Professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization

• Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned Why BayCare? • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

• RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

• ACLS Certification, if required by department

• Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

• Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required

• Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred Experience:

• 18 months of RN experience in acute care/specialty is required. Specific Skills:

• Interpersonal skills

• Critical thinking skills

• Clinical skills appropriate to position

Status: Pool, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Shift: Shift 1

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes
