Schlumberger Planner in Macae, Brazil

The Offshore Operations Planner is responsible for organizing rig equipment, drilling tools and accessories, planning the drilling operational sequence and logistics for the Total Well Delivery scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in pre-tour and tool-box meetings with all members of the drilling crew.

  • Is always fully compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Always leads by visible example, minimizing delegation of authority when handling key operations

  • Complete and record the daily, weekly and monthly functional reports for the Operations Planner function

  • Works in a safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety and the safety of fellow crew members.

  • Review that all equipment prepared for each section is compliant with Drilling Program and in good and safe working order according to standards and reports any deviation or non-conformance to Toolpusher.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of well control procedures and follow well control procedures as outlined in the well control manual.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of blowout preventer equipment and procedures including assisting in the testing of equipment.

  • Recognize basic warning signs of kick and act accordingly as a first barrier of Well control prevention.

  • Oversee the operational safety and efficiency of operations

  • Maintain operations, drilling tools and logistics files and records.

  • Reviews daily the 7-day Lookahead Plan and ensures all tools, accessories, equipment, materials and resources are ready onboard for the Drilling operations.

  • Reviews the longer lookahead well sequence and ensures all resources for future wells have been planned and are available.

  • Monitor operations equipment and materials controls so as to plan receiving equipment onboard DPU and organizes logistics to send back to shore when applicable.

  • Support the Drilling Team in the use of DrillOps to manage the drilling operations

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Toolpusher

  • Support Toolpusher to perform the technical calculations, required to carry out drilling operations.

  • Co-ordinate the Offshore activities and operations with other departments and product lines involved

  • Supports Toolpusher to ensure Rig is compliant with the requirements of the QHSE policies, standards and guidelines.

  • Support the Senior Toolpusher to plan, organize and manage all daily rig operations including, but not limited to, drilling, well testing, completions, work-over and well control.

  • Supervises all key and/or critical operations and ensure that all non-critical operations are properly planned and supervised.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with Equinors representatives.

  • Ensures that the operations are conducted to prevent the risk of well control, stuck pipe and any other drilling hazards, as defined on the Well Program and the Instructions to Drillers prepared by the Operator Representative.

  • Support the Toolpusher to reviews the Standard Operational Procedures.

  • Reports Risk Identification Reports (RIRs), Observation & Intervention Reports (OI) on a daily or weekly basis as per company and Project guidelines and objectives

  • Tracks daily and reports the Drilling Key Performance Indicators (Drilling KPIs) agreed for the Project to the Toolpushers and Rig Superintendent.

  • In case of emergency due to lack of personnel offshore can be requested to operate the Drillers Chair console as a Cyber Driller

  • Be prepared to fulfill assigned role on the Offshore Emergency Response Team as per agreed procedure with Operator.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Technicinan/Bachelor Degree;

  • IWCF Well-control certificat;

  • Experience as a Driller/Planner on an offshore rig;

  • Cyber chair experience or equivalent from Onshore Drilling operations;

  • Intermediate/advanced English
