McNaughton-McKay Electric Company CAD Designer The CAD Designer develops custom designs through interaction with customers, sales, engineering, project management, operations, our build partners, and the account team of McNaughton-McKay. Key Responsibilities include: Interfaces with the account team to design custom schematics, enclosures, and assembly solutions. Provides single point of contact for CAD related activities. Completes multiple-project CAD activities in accordance with required scheduling. Designs and assists in the engineering of custom electrical solutions, including the utilization of third party manufactured components and their specifications. Designs solutions to customer design criteria, as well as, current industry standards, and any identified customer specifications. Examples include NFPA, UL, CE, CSA, etc. Facilitates the sending of all build-related files to the build shop in accordance with the purchase order. Communicates with our build partner, operations team, and project team to support the creation of the designed solution. Reviews all build partner redline drawing revisions with the project team, operations team and customer. Takes the final markups and creates the As-Built drawing files. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities to be successful include: Bachelors degree in engineering preferred, or additional applicable work experience considered in lieu of education. Excellent verbal communications skills. Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to oversee multiple projects. Strong Knowledge of CAD design software.
