This position is for a Diesel Mechanic with a company location in Madison, MS.
Summary: Ensures company equipment is operational and meets all company and government regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to safety, DOT and environmental. Using available technology to completely and accurately document the servicing of vehicles in the most cost efficient but effective manner. Maintains equipment and work area in a clean, neat, organized and professional looking condition. Travels to job sites on an as needed basis to repair equipment and perform periodic maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure equipment is operational by scheduling & performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs. Document equipment service records including routine maintenance and repairs. Repair heavy equipment as needed to ensure operating capacity. Purchase and inventory part and supplies for equipment. Secure the most competitive price for a quality product and receive discounts on trade-ins. Work with the Fleet Manager, Operations and/or Area Manager to ensure safety features of the equipment is properly working. Adequately train employees on new procedures, processes, equipment features, etc. Respond in a timely manner when problems with equipment occur. Travel to job sites or plants to service or repair equipment when requested and perform periodic maintenance. Other duties or special projects as assigned my management. Diagnosing, troubleshooting, preventive, and repairing Mixer trucks and other equipment as needed.
Education and Experience: Must have at least 3 years of Diesel Mechanic experience with Diagnostic experience. Must have diesel mechanic experience with diagnostic experience. Must have a valid DL. Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. 10 PNL drug screen will be required.
Shifts/Hours: Days- TBD by the customer -- Up to 50hrs per week
