JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: Event Services at University Housing is now hiring for the Event Production Assistant position! This role serves as a resource for questions from customers and guests during events and helps with set-up and tear-down for events within University Housing spaces. Join our team of dedicated, supportive and creative staff, and work with a variety of events, groups, and partners on the UW-Madison campus! Responsibilities: Assists with event planning, set-up, execution, and documentation to ensure events meet customer needs. 45% Performs on-site event set-up and clean up and may perform basic custodial duties 20% Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and provides routine information, referring more complicates issues to appropriate entities 15% Gathers, enters, and maintains accurate event data and records 20% Serves as a primary contact for assigned focus area(s); supports other areas as needed. Focus areas may include AV equipment management and setup; event-related administrative duties; and/or the supervision, training, and evaluation of student staff. Tasks: Provides support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of emergency. Demonstrates and role models exceptional customer service. Promotes and participates in a collaborative team environment. Communicates with other events staff and with guests to address needs and service requests.
