JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The position will teach a combination of two courses per semester. Courses may include: ASIALANG 127: First Semester Indonesian ASIALANG 227: Third Semester Indonesian ASIALANG 128: Second Semester Indonesian ASIALANG 228: Fourth Semester Indonesian Responsible for teaching preparation, preparation of syllabi, adapting teaching materials, holding office hours, student performance evaluations, full and regular participation in departmental pedagogical activities, regular meetings and collaboration with department pedagogy. Responsibilities: Facilitates classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction and assists with instructional development and design for a single course or series of courses within an academic discipline to support the delivery of quality instruction. Provides for-credit instruction in formats such as classroom, online and/or laboratory settings, including grading. Serves as an instructor of record. 45% Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance 25% Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction 10% Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations 10% Collaborates with department faculty and staff to develop teaching strategies relevant to the discipline. 5% May supervise students or other employees involved in development or delivery of instruction. 5% May develop outreach and engagement efforts to contribute to the enrichment of the university community and beyond.
