U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES Interventional Nephrology Fellow in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This appointment will be in the 2025-2026 Interventional Nephrology Fellowship Program receiving advanced training in Interventional Nephrology. Clinical patient care at UW Health approved locations; clinical research endeavors; participation in the clinical teaching of medical students and residents. Incumbent will participate in the Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division journal club activities and continuing professional education activities. Responsibilities: This position will always function as a trainee when performing vascular access procedural care. The incumbent will be expected to: - Participate in weekly Nephrology Grand Rounds; present one Grand Rounds session and one fellow\' core curriculum lecture - Present one abstract at a national conference and publish one manuscript - Participate in any new quality improvement or peer review activities related to interventional nephrology An additional component of the fellowship appointment is providing unsupervised clinical services for the Division of Nephrology as necessary and as assigned by the Division Chief. The clinical activities will include: general nephrology duties, such as: - Ambulatory clinic with a focus on chronic kidney disease care (One half-day per week) - Inpatient service on general nephrology services (acutes and End-Stage Renal Disease) including 8 weekend calls. - The position will often supervise and teach residents and medical students while on service.
