UW MEDICAL FOUNDATION Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Outpatient Gastroenterology (GI) / Hepatology - 30017 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 100% FTE working Monday - Friday, 4 - 10 hour days or 5 - 8 hour days. Also, open to 80% FTE. You will work at UW Health Digestive Health Center and East Madison Medical Center in Madison, WI. There will be a small inpatient responsibility. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: * Provide care to adult gastroenterology patients in an outpatient setting. * See patients in follow-up to further evaluate and manage GI-related problems. * Provide comprehensive clinical services related to the digestive tract, liver, and pancreas. * Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following: gastrostomy tube removal and replacement. If Physician Assistant: Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree from accredited PA Program. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure If Nurse Practitioner*: * Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND * Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, Adult Acute Care, or Family.
