Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our client in Madison, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing software solutions, including microservices, APIs, and web applications. You should have a strong background in C#/.Net development and a passion for creating high-quality software. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead and mentor other developers, as well as work independently throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

This is a Direct/Permanent Hire role that will require 3 days in office per week, at their Madison, WI location.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production software solutions using C#/.Net, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards.

• Collaborate with the team to design and implement web and microservice applications.

• Lead and mentor other developers, providing guidance and support in creating exceptional software.

• Independently handle all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, review, and testing.

• Utilize SQL and relational databases to design, develop, and optimize database systems.

• Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft database management tools such as SSMS and SSIS.

• Utilize version control systems like Git and development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio / Code and Jira.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing production software solutions using C#/.Net for customers.

• Strong passion for creating high-quality software and staying updated with the latest industry trends.

• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire other developers.

• Proficiency in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, review, and testing.

• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in web and microservice application design.

• Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development methodologies.

• Expertise in relational database design, development, and optimization.

• Proficiency in Microsoft database management tools, such as SSMS and SSIS.

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

• Experience using development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Jira.
