U W-MADISON DIV. CONTINUING STUDIES Transportation Engineer in MADISON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: About the Position: The Transportation Engineer position falls within our Transportation Department within the Facilities Planning and Management Division at UW-Madison. As the campus is outgrowing its current facilities there are 40+ (10-15 a year) large capital projects planned to update/replace these facilities. Additionally, campus maintenance and utility projects, housing projects & events, athletics events, and other campus events and projects are happening that have impacts on transportation in, through, and around campus. The Transportation Engineer position will support planning and programming efforts to plan and coordinate transportation & parking needs for campus projects, events, and construction in, through, and around campus. The Transportation Engineer will also assist in coordinating transportation and parking-related projects on campus parking facilities, managed paths, and managed roadways. About our Transportation Services department: UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW-Madison campus. We serve a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs. Transportation Services is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community. Primary functions include the sale/management of parking permits, special event coordination, maintenance and enforcement, construction coordination, lot and booth operations, citation payments and appeals, information technology, financial, transportation planning, and development of multimodal options. About the Division of Facilities Planning& Management (FP&M): The Division of Facilities Planning& Management (FP&M) is a full-spectrum service organization that builds, maintains, and operates the physical environment of UW-Madison in the university\'s education, research, and outreach activities. We are responsible for everything from the building projects that change the face of campus to the flowers that beautify the grounds.
