Emerson Process Simulation Engineering Manager in MADRID, Spain

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Digital Twin Leadership : Own the adoption and advancement of Digital Twin technology to simulate, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes. Use these technologies to drive improvements in efficiency, reduce operational costs, and enhance product quality.

  • Project Execution: Supervise the integration models in all relevant engineering projects, guiding to enhance project outcomes and ensure technical excellence.

  • Strategic Planning: Engage actively in strategic business planning and annual budgeting to align engineering initiatives with broader business goals.

  • Market Adaptation: Monitor advancements and trends in digital simulation and engineering technology, adapting strategies to maintain and enhance competitive advantage.

  • Multi-functional Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Project Management Office, Service, Sales & Operations Planning and other key area to ensure that engineering strategies and projects are well-integrated with company-wide initiatives.

  • Team Development: Build a dynamic team of Engineers. Focus on aligning team capabilities with the strategic needs of the business and fostering a culture of continuous professional growth.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Management level experience in a system, software, process automation or application engineering; Fundamental skills in managing projects, including resource allocation, timeline management, and result tracking; Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and developing talent, enhancing team capabilities, and encouraging professional growth.

  • Systems Modeling and Simulation : Understanding basic systems engineering principles, including how to model and simulate complex systems.

  • Data Analytics : Proficiency in handling and interpreting large datasets with statistical software or programming languages; A basic understanding of the Internet of Things (IoT) and how real-time data collection and analysis can be integrated into digital twins to provide ongoing insights and updates.

  • Excellent Communication : Proficiency in English , with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to different partners, including customers and non-technical team members.
