About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive in Sales & Marketing Department to join Jumeirah Group.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Qualifies general inquiries, responds personally, and directs appropriate salesperson.

  • Responds to inquiries from customers in the absence of direct sales personnel.

  • Escorts general inquiries onsite inspections and familiarization trips and entertain whenever required.

  • Ensures prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers.

  • Maintains positive relationships with all guests, tour operators, colleagues.

  • Own and manage selected local DMC.

  • Has a complete knowledge of the hotel’s services and facilities.

  • Assists with maintenance of tour operator accounts, database, contact, team activities and business details within Opera S&C according to Fairmont standards.

  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on contracts and all promotional communications.

  • Maintains current sales and promotional literature.

  • Coordinates the distribution of pertinent information to all pertinent departments within the hotel.

  • Attends all sales meetings.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Essential

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree is required, Business School and/or Hotel School Diploma preferred.

  • Minimum two years’ experience.

  • Opera Sales & Catering and Opera Property Manager - experience preferred.

  • Maintains an orderly working environment.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

  • Preferred Knowledge/Qualifications

  • Ability to assume Key Operator responsibilities and operate all technological equipment in the office.

  • Proven competency in organization and communication skills

  • Strong communications skills and follow-ups.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities necessary

  • Must be a highly organized person with strong planning skills.

  • Goal and results oriented.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a charismatic team player

Desired:

  • Administration qualification or similar is desirable.

  • Report generation and creation experience is desirable.
